A Possible reason for coronavirus

God is good all the time; all the time, God is good. You probably heard this story before, but I like to use it to bring our point across as to a possible reason for coronavirus pandemic. A farmer bought a mule, brought it home, and put it in the harness of a plow.   “Getty up, go! “Said the farmer. The mule didn’t move. He clicked his tongue and snapped the reigns, but the mule didn’t move. Try as he may mule would not go! The farmer called the man who sold him the mule and told him I can’t get this thing to move. The man came, had a 2 x 4in his hand, and hit that mule in the head with it.   The mule came alive and did all the commands he was told to do. “Why did you hit him on the head with the 2 x 4?” “You have to get his attention, first, then he will do anything you want.” The 2 x 4 was painful, but it got his attention, and he obeyed. And this from the book of Job - changed for today :  One day when the angels came to report to God, Satan,

Why we need to go to Church

February 11, 2020, I was on Facebook right after I finished my devotional reading and this came through from a Wonderful Sister in Christ, KATHLEEN BERG SPENCER: Food for thought: I have been thinking about writing this for a very long time. Please don’t shoot the messenger. I love you all! There are many today who think that it’s not necessary to attend church to be a follower of Christ. While it is true that going to church doesn’t make you a Christian, I would like to share a few reasons why we need to go to church. 1. To say attending church is not necessary, we need to ask if Pastors were just delusional when they heard the “call of God.” to become under-shepherds of the Great Shepherd to care for a group of people who meet weekly in a place called “church”? Ephesians 4:11-14 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all rea

Palm Sunday 2020

THANK YOU THANK YOU for keeping on keeping on praying for me, and I want you to know God is answering your prayers.   I asked you to pray that I get closer and know the Presence of God, and I feel He has answered our prayers in that way.   I woke up this morning, ask His blessings on my short life remaining on planet Earth, came down to my study, and turned on my computer. I Googled a few questions and didn’t like the answers.   You do know you can talk to the computer and get answers, right?   So, I ask Google, “are you omniscient?”   see his/her/its answer: “Google is omniscient, omnipresent, immortal, infinite. She forgets nothing and answers prayers. According to MacPherson, Google must, therefore, be God. Hence, he has founded his church.” Nov 20, 2012.   For me, this seems to be what John was writing and warning of antichrists to come, in his first letter.   Many people, God’s frozen chosen, will go to Google for answers before searching Scripture, and this is wrong.

Hurting now?

You may be discouraged or troubled this morning with things that are not falling into place as you thought they would. Today, one more time, give it all to the Lord. Lay you worries, your concerns, at His feet today. The hymn we often sing in Church, "What a Friend we have in Jesus", admonishes us to take it to the Lord in prayer, and it promises that with all of our needs, He is aware of them, and He will supply our every need and more. We do not need to fight our battles alone! He is always there for His children. Joy comes! We need to watch for it as we give our all to our Father, knowing He takes care of each need. Expect our loving Father to answer our every need. Keep on keeping on coming to the Lord, even though the pathway looks dismal. Don't ever give up! Keep on keeping on praying, keep on keeping on seeking, keep on keeping on trusting. Meditate on the promises of God, keep on keeping on singing hymns, talk to God, listen carefully to hear what God is say
