   The Love of God By: Kathleen Berg Spencer If you’re anything like me, at some point, you’ve wondered if God really loves you. You felt like you’ve messed up again after knowing better, and you’ve even thought, “If others don’t love me and accept men, then God must feel that way about me too.” Been there and done that! One day in my deep feelings of failure and rejection, I got my Bible out and read from Romans 8:38-39, which says, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of Hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” What an amazing truth and promise!   The Power of the Tongue By Kathleen Berg Spencer Have you ever been having a really good day, and suddenly someone said something that hurt your heart? Or have you ever been struggling with life issues and barely able to keep your head above water, and someone suddenly spews out negativity and anger, and judgmental words? Or maybe you're the one who has been guilty of doing it to others. I think we've all had it done to us or done it to others at some point in our lives. When it is done to us, it can ruin our whole day, and sometimes it even causes a physical sickening pain inside of us. As people who claim to be followers of Christ and are supposed to represent who He is at all times, I want to look at what scripture has to say on the subject. Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue has the power of life and death” and James 3:6 says, “And the tongue is a fire, the very world of unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our body’s parts as that which defiles the whole body and set
