Hallelujah!
God answers prayer, O do not doubt Him;
God answers prayer, believe His Word
God answers prayer, now venture on
His Word, the test of time, has stood.
Refrain
God answers prayer, O soul,
believe Him;
God answers prayer, I’ve proved Him true
God answers prayer, now venture
on Him
He answered me, He’ll answer you.
I love
this song. Now, read the refrain over,
and allow me to tell you how God answered my prayer over and over again.
You
heard this before but I need to reiterate.
I prayed for a roommate and God answered my prayer. The roommate bought the trailer we were
living in. He did not like living with
me and moved to an assisted living room and sold the trailer to them. These people were not old enough to live in
the mobile home park, so they sold the trailer.
And I had to go to the assisted living room to live. I left that place and went into a nursing home, and now I am at the Towers, where God has placed me as answered prayer.
All
that to say this: God does answer prayer over and over again.
When I
walked into this apartment at the Towers for the first time. All I can see was overwhelming to say the
least. It was fully furnished, except for a desk for my computer and an office chair, which I bought the next day. But the box the office chair came in is with
me to this day.
Here’s
a miracle that I shared with you before. When I moved in there was a table and two
chairs. The table was 1 foot wide and 3
foot long. I write my prayer in a prayer
Journal. I prayed one night, Lord, I’d
like to have a bigger table – one where I can have my Bible open and be able to
write too. What say you? I closed my prayer book and went to bed. The next morning, I was finishing up my BBB (Bible Before Breakfast) and heard a knock on my door. The door opened, and there was my angel, who said, “We brought your table.” And they came with a wonderful, good, round table. The table I had prayed for. Praise the Lord!
Here’s
another miracle I would like to share with you:
I told you that I still have the box that my office chair came in. I have been using it as a shelf beside the
miracle table. One night, as I was praying, I said, “Lord, I’d like to have a shelf and get rid of this old box.” I drew up details of one I wanted and said, “I’ll send this to my friend and brother to go to the lumber store and bring me the wood.” And I went to
bed. Next morning a knock on the door,
and the door opened, and there was my angel saying, “we brought your
shelves.” The shelves I had prayed
for. God is good all the time; all the
time, God is good! Amen?
Did you
ever feel like giving up and throwing in the towel? I must admit I have. And today is one of them. A dear brother from our church came to visit me today, and I shared my feelings with him. He ministered to me from God’s Word. And when he left, that feeling was gone, and a feeling of hope gave me new life. JESUS said to me, “I am your
Strength. This truth about Me is
especially precious on days when your inadequancies are screaming at you,
telling you that you just can’t go on.
Knowing Me as your strength is like having a guy who is always with you
– showing you the way forward, tearing away obstacles, empowering you to take
the next step. I hold you by your right
hand, and I guide you with my counsel.
Since I am omniscient, knowing everything, My counsel provides the best
wisdom imaginable.
So
don’t fret about your weaknesses. They
are training you to depend on My loving Presence – confident that I am with you
and I will help you. Your world becomes
less threatening when you release the burden of having to handle things
by yourself. Furthermore, I meet you in
your weakness and use them to draw other people to Me. My Life shines in and through your
inadequacies when you keep looking to Me, your Strength. Let this Love-Light flow freely through you,
filling you with joy that overflows into others’ lives.”
