GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME; ALL THE TIME, GOD IS GOOD!

What does the month of November celebrate?

We've made this month, named for the ninth (novem) month in the early Roman calendar, into a social time of community suppers, feasts of thanksgiving, and general elections.  November 1 is All Saints' Day.  November 2 {sic} is Election Day (U.S.).  Don't forget to vote in state and federal elections!  --Google

Yes, I voted, and I hope you did or will do so, as this is such an important one.  This time, it is not between Democrats and Republicans; it is between good and evil or Communism versus Americanism.  I voted for the one who will make America great again – not the evil one.

ENOUGH POLITICS: I would like to go on with this newsletter by telling you what our fellowship hour is like on Wednesday morning.  Before I do, I would like to share how this last session came about.  I was sitting at my miracle table, writing in my Prayer Journal.  I said, “I will work on my fellowship hour when I am done here.  Do you have a topic I should approach?”  I heard him say, “OLD AGE.”  Immediately, my mind went to Billy Graham’s book, Nearing Home.  I continued to write, “Lord, I gave all my books of the church; should I buy a new one?”  He answered, “No, go to the church and borrow it.”  I did, and here’s the miracle that happened.  When I went to church and found the book, all my notes were still there.  One of the notes is what I shared to my Fellowship Hour:

BIBLE FELLOWSHIP OCTOBER 30

HOW TO GROW OLD

How old are you today, Mama?  I asked casually.  My 84-year-old friend, pointing to aches and pains in her joints, whispered, “Old age is tough!”  Then she added earnestly, “But God has been good to me.”

“Growing old has been the greatest surprise of my life,” says Billy Graham in his book Nearing Home.  “I am an old man now, and believe me, it’s not easy.”  However, Graham notes, “While the Bible doesn’t trust over the problems we face when they grow older, neither does it pay old age as a time to be despised, or a burden to endure with gritted teeth.”  He then mentioned some of the questions he had been forced to deal with as his aged, such as, “How can we not only learn to cope with the fears as struggles, growing limitations face, but also actually grow stronger in overlay in the most of these difficulties?”

In Isaiah 46,  We have God’s insurance: “Even to our old age and gray hairs . . . I am he will sustain you.  I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you, and I will rescue you.” (v4)

We don’t know how many years we will live on this earth or what we might face as we age.  But one thing is certain: God will care for us throughout our lives.

Prayer: LORD, please teach me to number my days so that I may gain air art of wisdom.  Teach me how to not look useless but to be useful in Your site.  I am old; my constant crying is “GOD HELP ME. . . .?

Be not dismayed whate'er betide

God will take care of you.

Beneath His wings of love abide.

God will take care of you.

God will take care of you.

Through every day, o’re all the way

He will take care of you.

God will take care of you.

No matter what may be the test

God will take care of you.

Lean, weary one, upon His breast

God will take care of you.

God will take care of you.

Through every day, o'er all the way

He will take care of you.

God will take care of you.
