DECEMBER 2023 NEWSLETTER

December 2023 NEWSLETTER                                    When I was a ten-year-old boy, we played in the lot next door to our home.  We called it the foundation.  I don’t know why it was dug out, but my friends and I spent many hours in that foundation playing cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians and even make-believe war games with real toy guns.   My brother, Edward, came home from the war and built a house on that foundation.  He made that house from the foundation to the roof all by himself.  I was ten years old and in his way constantly.  But I did learn a few things by watching Him.  First, he got into that foundation with a pick and shovel, squared...

November 2023 Newsletter Robert Lindenberger God is good all the time; all the time, God is good! Amen? This newsletter will be different than any I have ever written and shared. Older man dreams – that means we remember things from the past, and there is a lot to remember. I want this newsletter to be a remembrance and dedicated to my sister, Irene. You, Irene, graduated from high school and married Guy, who also went to war. I can remember sitting at the grown-up’s table, you and Drue, and finally, Mid reading letters and writing to your loved ones. And I remember you, Drue, and Mid twirling your batons in the yard. And I remember Mother saying, it’s your turn to take care of Bobby. And you sa...
